Bug Description
This applies to Inkscape 0.47pre4 r22446, built Oct 16 2009, running on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
Open .svg created in an earlier version of Inkscape; select text object; Ctl-C to copy. Ctl-V to paste; nothing happens. No new copy appears on top of copied object or anywhere else.
Or:
Create new letter-size drawing; draw freehand line; choose select tool; select freehand line; Ctl-C to copy. Ctl-V to paste; a similar object appears but as though it has been "filled."
Attaching file known to exhibit the first behavior.

Can you compare your X11/XQuartz preferences for the syncing of the X11 clipboard with the OS X pasteboard to the settings described the FAQ <http:// wiki.inkscape. org/wiki/ index.php/ FAQ#Copying_ and_pasting_ in_Inkscape_ creates_ pixellated_ images_ instead_ of_copying_ the_vector_ objects> or to this X11 Preferences dialog screenshot: <http:// www.inkscapefor um.com/ viewtopic. php?f=22& t=3627# p17000> and test if it works for you with those settings?
(This is a duplicate of bug #307005. Please confirm that changing the settings restores the expected c&p behaviour)
