Bug Description
Binary package hint: usplash
On the most recent Karmic RC, usplash disappears during boot well before X starts when a message from init saying that the sreadahead main process has been killed. I imagine sreadahead has been disabled because it increases boot times on hard drives like mine, but it looks messy when usplash disappears.
