Description: Ubuntu 9.10 RC
Release: 9.10 RC

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename' or by checking in Synaptic.
Installed: 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1

  Version table:
 *** 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 0

3) What you expected to happen
Exported (PDF) documents should show graphics at comparative quality to the source material (especially when tested with lossless settings for graphics).

4) What happened instead
Exported PDF documents show significant graphical quality degradation from the original source, images appear pixilated.
This is a regression from previous versions of Open Office.

Kinda a major pain, makes creating documents in Open Office a waste of time. I create documents and then turn them into PDF so they can be read under any OS without worrying about small formatting difference that can make things look very poor.

With this bug I cant really use Open Office anymore.

Confirmed this using your document. Even with lossless image compression the quality clearly degrades in the resulting PDF. This is on a current Kubuntu Karmic.
