Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
When closing the main Firefox window and accidentially having other Firefox windows open in background, all open tabs will be closed and won't be restored anymore.
This also happens, when clicking on a weblink on the addon-update splash screen just before FF opens; a new windows with empty tabs will pop up, but FF will restart right after the addon's updates have finished, destroying the last tab session.
I tend to keep a bunch of frequently used tabs open a long time and it has caused quite some grief more than once, since using the tab history doesn't help much here.
I'm using FF 3.0.14 on Xubuntu 8.04 64bit, btw.
In general, I'd prefer it, if there would be always a warning message in such cases at least, prior to closing the main window.
Alternatively, it might be nice to always preserving the tabs of the first opened window instance and asking the user if sequel windows' tabs should be added to the main tab session on occasions like above.

I can confirm this. If the downloads window is open and one exits FF none of the tabs will be saved. U9.04 FF 3.0.15 x86_64.
Also present in 9.10 netbook remix.
