Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
When I have a second monitor attached, and turn off that monitor in preferences, everything starts drawing on the screen _very_ slowly (though X is not frozen). I SSHd into my laptop and ran top to see if any processes were consuming lots of CPU power, but everything looked normal there. If I open up TTY1, the performance in X stays crappy, but if I open up TTY1 _and_ log in there, the performance returns to normal.

A few minutes ago I had the idea to try to duplicate this issue with compiz turned off. It turns out that the performance issue does not happen when compiz is not running. With that in mind, it sounds to me like it could be a compiz issue, and not a problem with X. I do not know enough about ether to tell for certain, so I'd like some second opinions on that. If it is compiz, should I changed the bug report to point to the new package, or file a new bug?
