I've just stated, that gambas package has disappeared from "testing".
Some problems on startup when running on AMD64 platform have been reported.
Probably these problem are related to the 64-bit architecture, as there are
no problem when running on 32-bit i386 architecture.
Maybe the class size depends on the architecture?
Unfortunately I have no 64-bit machine for testing this issue more
thoroughly.

Wojciech Zabolotny <email address hidden> is wright. According to
http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer#severities this bug is not grave
because all platforms released in Debian sarge can use the package.
I hope with this change gambas will return to sarge.

These bugs were due to endianess problems in gambas in some
architectures. According to the upstream author, they have been solved
in version 1.0.14.
I don't have available any of these architectures to test it, so please,
check the new 1.0.15 version available in Debian and confirm to me if
the bug has been solved or not.

Same problem for me with Dapper 64 but without Locale Warning.

According to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=302998, this has been fixed with 1.0.15, the version available in Edgy. If somebody can confirm this, it would be nice.

I just test gambas 1.0.15 in edgy on amd64 this afternoon :
$ gambas
sizeof(CLASS) = 256 !
ERROR: #51: Bad archive: Argument invalide

gambas isn't 64bit clean. Debian has droped gambas on 64bit archs therefore.
