Bug Description
HP Pavilion tx2500 CTO notebook/tablet system with fresh Karmic RC installation, all available updates applied. Available restricted drivers in use. During boot, session start and odd other times there will be a 'pop' from the speakers, similar to what I'm used to when this machine goes to sleep, but louder. Often followed by a pause and another pop. Also occurs when Amarok starts, stops.

Need to change this one, the audio actually does work. The popping is still occurring, but the lack of audio is coming from the mute kicking in by itself at the beginning of the session. Mute state in the software volume control does not consistently match the state of the mute light on the hardware volume control.
