This only happens with the dialogs where there is not password input box. Sorry for the misleading screenshot.

I got this again today on my work computer.
I when to the software store, searched for recordmydesktop, pressed install, entered my password in the first dialog that looked like the one in Godkend.png, eminently got the on from Skærmbillede-1.png, once i closed it the Install button was grayed out and the program appeared not to have been installed (there was nothing in the queue either). But when i closed the software store and opened it again, the button now said remove, and sure enough the program was installed.

Thanks for the video. This looks like a policykit-gnome dialog, but usually they all come with a password field. Michael, does software-center do something strange by any chance?

AJenbo, what did you try to do at this time, software-center? synaptics? another program?

affects: ubuntu → policykit-1-gnome (Ubuntu)

As i remeber it this was the only thing i had running at the time.

I first got the one with a password but after confirming it turned in to this.

In this case software center still apped as if the program had not been installer, but if i tried to install it again i would get an error as it realy was installer.
In other cases where i got this isse (some times when mounting a ntfs drive) I didn't se any other issues or quirks.

Thanks. So it does seem related to software-center in some way. Michael, do you do anythign funky PK-wise there? Something that suppresses the password field?
