eject memory card unmounts the card reader

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

When you insert a memory card into the card reader, it works fine.
However, if you use the eject icon next to the mounted card in nautilus, it appears that the entire card reader is 'ejected' instead of just the card.
So if you insert another card, it does not get detected.

Thank you for your bug report, Martin could you have a look to this one, that seems close to the eject changes you did in karmic

could you get a devkit-disks --dump and gvfs-mount -li log too?

This sounds a lot like bug 404185, except that we don't do the "safely remove device" any more with the eject button (which is what would cause this effect). Can you please open system -> admin -> disk utility and play with the unmount/eject/safe eject buttons and check which of those remove the entire reader? (expected: eject doesn't, safe removal does)

Also, please do

  - fresh boot, no card inside
  - open Terminal, do "devkit-disks --monitor-details > /tmp/dkd.log"
  - insert card, let it automount
  - eject in nautilus
  - Press Control-C in that terminal.
  - Attach /tmp/dkd.log here.

Thanks!

Hopefully I haven't sent you on a wild goose chase....
I did an update earlier, and it seems to be working perfectly now.
Not sure if it had something to do with the update, or it was just something spurious on my machine.
Anyway, I will update the file just in case....

Ah, thanks. Then I bet that was the recent gvfs fix.
