Unable to watch ripped .iso`s

OS:Mythbuntu 9.10 RC1
After ripping a dvd to a .iso and updating the database with the video manager, I was unable to view the ripped dvd with the Internal player.
As a check, I ripped a different dvd with the same result.
I then ripped the same dvd`s to .vobs and was able to view them.
I am also able to view .avi`s with the internal player.
I re-installed mythvideo but I am still getting the same outcome.
I started mythfrontend from a console then went Media Library >> Watch Videos and chose a video in .iso format.

Howdy, and thank you for helping to improve Mythbuntu by opening this ticket. The ability to watch .iso's via storage groups has not yet been implemented and will therefore not be shipping in Mythbuntu 9.10. It is a feature that is planned for a future version of MythTV (hopefully 0.23).

Technical background information for anyone interested:
Storage Groups are a streaming method of transmitting material to a frontend, meaning they don't provide block-level access to the file in question. An ISO is a disk image, and libdvdnav/libdvdcss, the libraries used to view DVDs/DVD images, requires block-level access. Upstream has a plan to simulate a block device across the network using NBD for .23.
