reiserfs fsck in checkfs.sh makes usplash drop to text mode

Bug Description

On boot, something on checkfs.sh makes the graphical usplash end and it's text mode from there.

All my fs are in reiserfs, and all I was able to see it was on that script that usplash ends. I tried to pipe the output of fsck to /dev/null but usplash dies also. So it is something else... :(

usplash has to flip due to lack of fsck progress, if it were able to use that, it could behave better
