Bug Description

Binary package hint: cryptsetup

I did an update of my system this morning, and on reboot, got errors about mounting encrypted swap.

According to gparted, the swap partiton is also broken.

The following line is used in my /etc/fstab to mount the swap partition:
/dev/mapper/cryptswap1 none swap sw 0 0

This issue resolved itself for me, can you attach copys of /etc/fstab /etc/crypttab and the output of sudo swapon -s

Same here; restarting my sytem solved the issue. I think that this problem was caused by bug 461442. I'm attaching the requested files (not the sudo command since the swap is now working) to prevent this from happening again.

sudo swapon -s just shows:
Filename Type Size Used Priority

However, I could enable swap by running sudo swapon -a

This is probably a race condition between the cryptsetup upstart job and the swap device becoming available (bug #454898). Marking as a duplicate.
