Bug Description

Binary package hint: devicekit-disks

Trying to install UNR 9.10 RC to an Asus EeePC 701 G Surf. I have my UNR 9.10 boot install media on a USB drive, and intend to install to an SD card. However, as soon as partman comes up, it locks hard, without giving me any notable errors (except for the one reported in this bug report). I checked dmesg, /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman.

Ubiquity is still locked. It asks before, /dev/sdb is already mounted, do you want to unmount it before proceeding? Either way I answer, partman/ubiquity locks up immediately after partman launches, with ubiquity taking 95% of my cpu for as long as I let it (1 hour +).

I'm going to see if removing my SD card and trying resolves the problem, but that's not a solution, as I want to install to my SD drive (for now).

I don't believe this is the same as 460546, as that bug reports installing fine. I'm not sure if this is a bug with ubiquity or kernel, but I didn't get any messages/apport to suggest it was.

Sure enough, I remove the SD card, reboot my installer, and partman seems to work fine. I replace the SD card, reboot my installer, and partman hangs immediately after launch. I'll check if unmounting the SD card (assuming the UNR liveCD automounted it?) avoids the issue.
