qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format

When I run:
sudo qemu-img convert ubuntu-kvm/disk0.qcow2 -O host_device /dev/vg01/vm_test

I get this:
Unknown option 'size'

Everything seems to work despite this error.

I attached a patch, but I don't know if it's correct.

Hmm, well, Lucid has 0.12.3, so presumably so... Can you re-test?
I'll try myself, but it'll be a few hours (or days).

I tested it in Lucid 64bit running under KVM.
There is no output to the console, so it's working!

I can even start that virtual machine (Lucid 64bit) in host that is also a virtual machine (Lucid 64bit)!
