flickering when summoning

When summoning in Karmic RC, there is a white flickering if compiz is enabled. It happens when the desktop is the focus, not if it is a window.

I noticed that, too.
It only seems to happen when summoning for the first time after logging in, though.

i can confirm this, it happens not only the first time, but when the desktop has focus.
karmic stable release, it does NOT seem to happen using "docky" theme.

Confirmed, classic theme on Karmic. I'll look into it when I get a chance.

If compiz is disabled it's slower, and i can see that the panel is first a grey window. It happens every time and with all theme except docky. I use Karmic 64 bit with intel GMA 4500M video card. I also don't see any animation. (Or I think i don't see it.)

I also see this error all the time. Not only just after log in.

I am seeing this also. Recently upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic and while I had no issues with gnome-do in Jaunty I am now seeing a grey rectangular box appear in the upper left'ish corner of the screen before the proper gnome-do window appears centered on my screen. Note that this happens very quickly and all you see is the ghost image of that grey rectangular window.

I have this issue with the "Glass" theme on Ubuntu Karmic. I've attached a video of the problem occuring (In the video, I summon Do 3 times, the 3rd time, it flickers.). Generally, it flickers about half the time that it is summoned.

Now I have a black background (picture attached), and I can't click on the white triangle. If I check Show window shadow I just see the black rectangle, nothing else.

Thats wrong... All I did was disable the background pixbuf...

I had this problem in karmic and it was fixed.
Now in Lucid, i have the same problem, it happens the first summoning only.
 v0.8.3.1, with Intel GM965 integrated, compiz enabled
