plasma desktop does not follow users settings

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce bug : 1)Zoom out of plasma and click 'Configure plasma'
                                         2)Check the box labeled "Seprate dashboard for each desktop"
                                         3)Click apply.
                                         4)Uncheck the above mentioned box,click apply again.
                                         5)kill plasma with : killall plasma-desktop and restart it again with : plasma-desktop
                                         6)Zoom out and hit configure plasma,and the seprate dashboard for each desktop is still checked

If you do kquitapp plasma-desktop instead of killing it, does it work? You may be killing plasma before it has the chance to write the new config to the disk.
