Bug Description

It's pretty good that Ubuntu One syncs contacts and notes, but this should be extended sometime soon to cover calendars and tasks from applications such as Evolution. There isn't really an elegant solution for this at the moment for people who have two computers and need the same sort of information on them.

I totally agree, it will be useful to sync Ubuntu One's contacts, task, notes with clients like Evolution and Thunderbird

As a temporary workaround, you could save your calendar in a file inside your Ubuntu One folder.

But, firstly this is not very elegant and secondly, it would be nice to also have a web interface for your calendar. Just as notes and contacts have their own interface.

Now that evolution-couchdb supports contacts, it should be pretty easy to add calendar and tasks support, and we indeed plan to do so soon, although it would need, as Clemens says, an interface on the web UI.

evolution-couchdb code is GPL, and I more than welcome contributions to write a calendar/tasks backend, and I will even offer assistance, so if someone wants to work on it, just let me know. If not, I'll start working on it very soon
