Every page is loading slow and it is reproducable

I got the same problem.

Firefox might take up to 20 seconds to load a page (even if it's on localhost!).

I've just installed Kubuntu 9.10 (amd64) and on a brand new machine.
Thinking the problem may have something to do with DHCP network settings I have also resorted to using a manual static IP, and Open DNS settings, but to no avail.

every page I open is slow ,up to 20 seconds. NOT SLOW in swiftfox....Was fine unti lupgrade to 3.5 and koala.

I feel pitty... my laptop with Windows Vista Beurk is now faster than my lovely Ubuntu. I takes more than 20 seconds to load pages...

Is Firefox having a rest during winter ?

There is a bug in IPv6 for DNS: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eglibc/+bug/417757

Try the following:
go to about:config
find network.dns.disableIPv6
if it says false, right click and select toggle to change it to true
