Bug Description

Wifi will work for 4-8 hours without any problems, but after that it will spontaneously disconnect from the router and refuse to reassociate until the iwlagn module is reloaded (rmmod iwlagn; modprobe iwlagn). This seems to happen more frequently under heavy network stress (e.g. downloading Ubuntu updates), but it may not be related.

Immediately after this event, dmesg fills up with lines like the following:
[129638.530111] iwlagn 0000:04:00.0: Error sending REPLY_TX_POWER_DBM_CMD: enqueue_hcmd failed: -28
[129758.526073] iwlagn 0000:04:00.0: No space for Tx
[129758.526086] iwlagn 0000:04:00.0: Error sending REPLY_RXON: enqueue_hcmd failed: -28
[129758.526092] iwlagn 0000:04:00.0: Error setting new RXON (-28)
[129758.526120] iwlagn 0000:04:00.0: No space for Tx

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately.]

This bug was reported against the linux-meta package when it likely should have been reported against the linux package instead. We are automatically transitioning this to the linux kernel package so that the appropriate teams are notified and made aware of this issue.

If this bug really is a bug in the linux-meta package you can move it back to linux-meta and set the Status to Confirmed, or contact us on the #ubuntu-kernel channel on the FreeNode IRC server. Thanks.

affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu) → linux (Ubuntu)

I'm seeing a similar thing here. I think something I noted is that this happens only when I'm on a
relatively weak signal. Not sure whether that matters, though.
