no way to change the room via keyboard

I mean a possibility to switch from room a to room b by pressing a key combination.

You can use the arrows to focus the channel, then use the context menu key and then select "join channel". Would that work for you?

The problem is that tab navigation is faulty. When you get to the chat textfield you can't get out. I'll report that bug.
