Firefox Page Setup has no Margin/Headers tab

Bug Description

When I select Page Setup from the file menu, I get only a simple dialog that lets me select printer and page orientation. There's no tab allowing me to change margins or header/footer.

Was expecting a dialog like the one in Thunderbird.

Using FF 3.0.14 on Jaunty.

It's been a MONTH. No one's even acknowledged this?

I can hack the "about:config" settings like anyone else. I can open prefs.js, or seek out a CSS file.

But my wife, kids, and retired mother-in-law most certainly cannot do any of these things.

Would someone please notice this, and make it a high priority? Not because it's critical - priority can also be recognized --- and escalated --- due to the fact that /every single user of the software is impacted/ :-(

I'm on Jaunty too. FF 3.0.15 now, since it's now the end of November...

Thanks for listening!

/Bill

I got this pb too. I guess it is after I plugged (and indeed automatically installed the drivers for) my printer, canon ip4600

It's a shame this bug is still open after such a long time. Page setup worked fine in older versions of Firefox, but I read somewhere that this change was introduced for "compatibility" with Gnome standards. If that's true, it may very well be compatible, but obscure standards are of no help to people trying to simply adjust the headers/footers/margins for printing from the browser.

The code is there, it works on Windows. So why can't we have a complete dialog ???

I want to have background colors for a webpage I want to print. I can't.

I am frustrated.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Changed in firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu):
