Can't open Netbeans "plugins" or "options" dialongs (karmic)

Binary package hint: netbeans

When I click on Tools -> Plugins, the dialog does not pop up, and a warning at the bottom indicates that an error has occurred. I have attached my messages.log file here.

From messages.log it looks like it can't find method void checkSize(int, int, int, boolean) in org.jdesktop.layout.GroupLayout.java.
Please, update libswing-layout-java package and make sure there is a link: /usr/share/netbeans/platform10/modules/ext/swing-layout-1.0.3.jar -> ../../../../java/swing-layout.jar

libswing-layout-java is fully updated and the link exists.

I get the same error message. It also occurs when trying to use the SVN or GIT dialogs. I also have libswing-layout-java in the proper directory and the link exists.

I was able to fix this problem by uninstalling Netbeans, removing my .netbeans directory, and then reinstalling.

Not a bug. Wrong user dir configuration. Fix: remove userdir ~/.netbeans
