Load installer to memory

Bug Description

When I take a little time to answer a question during installation, my cd-drive spins down. When I then click next, the installer feels very unresponsive, because it takes a while before the cd is spinning again and I get to the next question. Wouldn't it be possible to load most of the installer to memory at program start?

I'm not too convinced about this (I think it might cause even more thrashing on low-memory systems), but I guess it's possible.

Wouldn't it be possible to detect the amount of free memory before deciding to load to memory or not?? I have a fairly fast pc which runs the live cd withouth problems, but clicking next in the installer takes more than 10 seconds to get to the next screen (and meanwhile no indication at all of what is happening).
