Bug Description

Binary package hint: auctex

After I upgraded to Karmic, the LaTeX menu in emacs is visible but when it is clicked an empty drop down menu appears and no options are available. Previously, the menu listed all of the expected auctex options.

(I cannot easily get a screenshot since emacs is focused when I press the menu button and eats all key presses)

I can confirm this. In addition, the auctex package in Ubuntu is outdated. 11.85 is out for more than a year.

Not a bug in auctex, but in emacs-gtk, it seems. I manually upgraded auctex and the problem remained.
Thus, I marked this as a duplicate of the emacs-gtk-menu-bug.
