weird, I've an unsensitive browser folder option and a scripts submenu when setting some of them too using a french or an en_GB.UTF-8 locale. Does it happen with an another user?

I should have tested a new user in the first place... This is due to spatial mode.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Run
gconftool-2 -s /apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_browser -t bool false
2. Go to Places -> Home Folder.
3. In the window that appears click on File.

The problem doesn't occur in browser windows but will occur in spatial ones (i.e. in nautilus going to Edit -> Preferences, selecting the Behaviour tab and unticking "Alway open in browser windows", clicking close then running through the steps to reproduce will show the problem).

I use spatial too and I don't have that issue, bug #47370 looks like the same issue. The submitter uses en_GB locale too and says it doesn't has the issue with an another locale. Could be an en_GB specific issue...

That's a translation issue, from the en_GB nautilus.mo:

'msgid "_Browse Folder"
msgid_plural "_Browse Folders"
msgstr[0] "_Browse Folder"
msgstr[1] ""'
