Bug Description

Not tested with KDE or any other desktop environments, but I suspect the same kind of issue may be observed there.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Running a composited desktop, start moovida fullscreen (default)
2) Switch to windowed mode (e.g. pressing F or ESC)

Expected result: the window is fully visible, including its decorations (ideally, it should be centred on screen).

Current result: the window decorations are hidden behind the gnome-panel top bar. See attached screenshot.

Tested with other applications started fullscreen and then windowed (vlc, totem). Both behave better than moovida: their windows are aligned to the bottom-right corner of the screen, and no part of the window is hidden behind gnome-panel's bottom bar.

Note that when starting Moovida in windowed mode (-u switch on the command line), the issue isn't here: the window is correctly positioned.

I've also verified by hiding the top panel; with the panel hidden, the window decorations are there and I then easily move the window or kill the application. Once the window has been moved below the top panel, I go back to full screen, then back to windowed screen and the window remains in the place that I moved it do below the top panel.

Now let's see if moovida remembers the settings from the moved window; I kill moovida, restart it, it opens full screen, 'F', and nope, again it is hidden above the top panel. Seems as if some basic screen position settings could resolve this.

Also tested Oliver's '-u' & verified that works. Added point; when opened this way, I can use 'F' to go full screen & 'F' again and the window returns to its proper/previous position.

The latest free moovida 1.09 does not get any maintenance since a while. Now moovidadb.com is supporting Linux and support can be found at : http://www.fluendo.com/faq/
