I also happens just on launching it, with an external disk attached wit more than 500 songs or with the disk not attached.

I have also several pluggins installed

renaming the pluggins directory makes it work...

In my case, not working properly and it started giving me this problem, to read what the plugins have been added one by one the plugins I use, and always fails when I add the plugin "playalbum"

Try to see if you have it installed, remove it and we'll know if this plugin has some incompatibility.
