Bug Description
using 9.10 Karmic koala beta
When I set the nvidia driver, I'm asked to reboot to activate it. Everything is jolly.
Until I reboot again. Then X does not start and I'm left in the terminal.
After manually removing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf, I'm able to start x again. However, not with the nvidia driver.

Hi Pascal, do you still have this issue on the karmic release?
If so, could you run 'apport-collect 455817' on the affected machine after reproducing the issue? In addition I would also like to see the log files in /var/log/gdm/ if you could provide those as well.
