Bug Description

It would be great to track all changes to files, not only the ones which were caught in the one of the scanning cycles. This can be easily implemented via using inotify. Also, using inotify can greatly reduce system load.

Actually, this is not a bug, but I'm not sure where to post it. Please set "wishlist" importance for it.

Can you clarify it somewhat better, it scans all included folders for any changes when making a snapshot.
So I do not completely get what you mean

I mean tracking all changes instead of "snapshot" concept. Receive notifications about file changes and instantly backup the modified version.

Nice idea, however changes more or less the whole concept...

What to do then with files that you change a lot, how would implement a sort of smart-remove option not to clog your harddrive with all kinds of unnecessary versions...

But I agree with you that this concept sounds nice...

This is the timevault concept, different concept but also good i think. It must have a smart remove as Bart said.
Maybe the concept can be chosen by the user in preferences?
