Bug Description

Binary package hint: amule

Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release: 9.10

aMule version: 2.2.6-0ubuntu1

How to reproduce:
1. Start aMule
2. Wait for a bit, look for the gmon.out file in your home directory.

http://wiki.amule.org/index.php/Configure#aMule_options says:
--enable-profile Enable code profiling (which allows to see how much time and resources are spent on each part of the code, though it will make aMule run much slower, so, in most cases, don't use it). The output file is gmon.out and can be viewed with gprof. For more information, man gprof and man gcc (in the man pages of gcc, search for the command line option -pg)

aMule probably is being built with --enable-profile.

if you look at the rules file you will notice that --enable-profile is not called at all.

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. I've installed the latest amule release available into the archive, and no gmon.out file is created. Plus as I told you before the --enable-profile flag is not given at build time.

Looking at aMule's uptime statistic and the file's creation time, it was not created until 30 minutes after aMule was started.
