Icons disappear from Search and Locate after software update

Bug Description

I have replicated this twice now on two fresh installs of Kubuntu Netbook 9.10 beta. When using "Search and Locate" after running all updates after an install icons only populate the right two thirds or so and not all of the icons are there.
