Bug Description

Binary package hint: audacious-plugins

I am using Ubuntu Jaunty, and switched sources.list to let me install the Karmic version of Audacious2, which is audacious_2.1-1ubuntu1. This new version of Audacious comes with the ability to stream any music directly to an Icecast2 server.
However, after recompiling the vgmstream plugin, a crash is discovered in the icecast plugin, which only presents with an input plugin that doesn't support Audacious's extended metadata. Tonegen is another plugin that doesn't support it
I will attach a patch with a solution soon.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.
There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test Audacious 2.3 from the latest stable Ubuntu version (10.04) or the current Ubuntu development version (10.10). If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect #454970, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

The Audacious 2.3 from Ubuntu 10.04 does not have the Icecast plugin, as it has been removed from upstream. The provided patch is only applicable to Ubuntu 9.10 and Audacious 2.2.
