Fails to connect to FTP server on certain IP addresses

Bug Description

I'm trying to access an FTP server through Nautilus and Nautilus fails even to start a TCP connection to the server (no packets are transmitted, as Ethereal shows).

If I open a connection with telnet, I have no problems connecting to the FTP server.

The server uses an IP address like 10.177.4.123. If I try the same at home, the FTP server using an IP address like 192.168.1.123 I have absolutely no problems accessing it through Nautilus.

Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Do you have an anonymous server exhibing the bug? Does gnomevfs-ls ftp://server works correctly?
