Bug Description
Binary package hint: sabayon
I've trying to reproduce this bug and found that the problem only ocurrs as described:
if i use kdm as default login manager i cannot login to the session after sabayon is installed.
if i use gdm i can login without problems after i`ve installed sabayon.
the error message i've got with kdm is:
cat xsession-
Xsession: X session started for ubuntu2 at Thu May 18 08:47:23 COT 2006
No profile for user 'ubuntu2' found
it justs restart kdm and asks for login and pwd again.
i 've tried this using a ltsp client (with a "pure-original¨ ltsp install 4-2) and it occured both at the thin client and at the server
i've tried this in a system without a ltsp trace and the behaviour is the same.
both of the system uses kdm as default login manager.
if i put gdm as the default the problem didn't occurred.

status: | Unconfirmed → Confirmed |
I just installed Kubuntu using the 7.04 alternate install CD (via text mode). After adding ubuntu-desktop and sabayon, I can confirm that KDM does not let users login anymore.
