Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

In the Empathy account manager, the icon displayed for "remove account" is showing as a red "no" crossed circle, instead of a trash can as described in the online help. I'm using the default Human theme.

This is not a theme bug .
The documentation is probably from upstream and hasnt been updated to use the new screenshots.

could you add a screenshot of the documentation which shows the old icon theme?

IMHO, the icon was wrong, not the help. That red circle is an internationally-recognized standard icon (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_sign) and doesn't mean "delete" - it would be more correct to have the recycle bin icon as described in the help. Looking at other apps, I notice that Evolution has the same (incorrect IMHO) icon used for Delete.

When I saw the icons as in the screenshot I attached, I thought my accounts were disabled, not that I could delete them by clicking on the red circle.

The use of the trash can in that location it totally wrong!

If the trash can is used , it means that the item can be restored from the trash later, which is not the case.
The icon used should be a list-remove icon , which shows a minus.

The wrong icon is used in the app, indicating the wrong functionality.

For more common delete icons see >

Which matches the icons done in the theme.

Is this bug report about the icon or the documentation ? Could you be more clearer?

Seems that the documentation is from upstream emapthy , and ubuntu does not provide specific documentation for this.
