Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we are unable to examine your VarLogDistupgrade log file as it is corrupted. Could you please manually add the log files in '/var/log/dist-upgrade' to this bug report? This will allow us to better determine what went wrong with this package installation.

for some reason, sun-java5 was used. The package in karmic and lucid requires a v6 runtime
