Feature Request: rotation and resizing controls available at same time

It would be nice to have rotation and resizing both available at the same time, without having to click the object to be able to bring up the arrows that allow it to be rotated.

Suggested Implementation: The corners and sides could always be set to resize when using the "select and transform objects" tool. At the same time, a rotation control would be available in the center of the object, which could be represented as a dot, with a line/handle extending out to the side ending in another dot. Dragging on the dot at the end of the handle would rotate the object. This is how Apple's Image Capture works, at least when scanning an image. Works great, and is nice to be able to have both controls (rotate and resize) available at the same time.

I too like the idea of a single "mode" select tool that does resize and rotate.
Perhaps skew also needs to be added to cover the existing "dual mode" functionality.
