Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-network-manager

Upgraded from jaunty to karmic. Jaunty worked fine.

In KDE, the network manager widget shows my wireless network but although I can hover on it and the background changes because of the hover (so it detects the hover!), it doesn't click like a button when I try to connect.

I'm not actually sure whether it should appear as a button click or whether a click simply brings up something else but it does nothing and does not connect to the network. Nothing appears to happen at all (such as the icon changing or something else appearing on the desktop).

It is a Netgear router using WEP security and Karmic can see it in the list.
Package: plasma-widget-network-manager
Kubuntu Release: 9.10 (karmic koala)

This doesn't appear to match the other bug which simply states that the computer cannot connect (and doesn't clarify if the item is actually clickable but just failing the connection). My problem is that I can't even click the item. I will try something however suggested by a friend by removing all existing connections and adding them again. If this fixes it, I'm happy for this to stay as a duplicate.
