Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus-sendto

Using Nautilus to send a file with Empathy does not work.

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala beta (x64).

The "send to" drop down box is not active. It isn't active when I choose "Removable disks and shares" but that could be because I don't currently have any shares mounted.

Hello again.

I am only using the MSN protocol. I guess the "people near me" thing is also enabled, but I could never figure out how to actually use that for anything.

SO anyway, I have attached a screenshot of the menu that does not work. As you can see, I am connected to msn and I see my contacts. I just tried again this morning, and it still does not work. On my computer it is easy to reproduce, but it sounds weird that noone else gets this bug.

OK.

That's fair enough I guess. I really hope it gets implemented before 9.10 is released for real and Empathy is standard over pidgin. Pidgin sends files just fine with the msn protocol, so a lot of people would be disappointed about the new IM client. Those people include me.

Good work on the fast answering though.

the karmic freeze was yesterday so it will not

not really true, pidgin sends those through the server and the transfert rate is very very low usually

I am offcourse disappointed to hear that, but hopefully it will work in the future. Sending files via MSN on windows is absolutely terrible in terms of speed, so Empathy has the potential to surpass the original. And I really hope it does, soon.
