Empathy automatically added a person to a private chat

I was chatting with my wife. We hadnt posted any messages in a while, but the window was still open. It was the only empathy window open at the time. When out of the blue,

 - Falice has joined the room

appeared. I have no clue what happened, but I didnt invite her to that chat, my wife doesnt know her and they re both NOT using beta software, so I guess this is an Empathy problem.
And a huge problem at that! (Or is it a feature to get my contacts to know eachother without me having to put effort into the whole social thing ;) )

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

Gen and Alex which protocols are you using for chat when the third member automatically added into the room.

As per upstream comment it should be fixed with telepathy butterfly 0.5.6 and empathy 2.29.xx
