Bug Description
Im using ubuntu 9.04, uptodate, but sometimes the system just freezes, It hapens in fedora 11 too. I dont know why, but the only wierd thing that I found in the logs is the tsc unstable message. I could boot with notsc parameter and the lockup still.
my /sys/devices/
puting the notsc option in the grub/menu.lst, stoped the messages but the lockups still there.
What the seams to syncronize with the lockups, is when I change the energy source, using battery or not. Sometimes, just freezes.
I think that this could be a problem with cpu frequency scaling.
