Bug Description

Binary package hint: fontconfig

It shows linking with QtCreator under qtsdk-2009.02; however I believe it's a generic bug. QtCreator failed to link (I mean ld failed to link when invoked by QtCreator) because some libs were missing; at least libfontconfig and libXext. The problem is solved manually creating the (symbolic, for instance) links *.so in /usr/lib, where they were not found (just *.so.X and *.so.X.Y were present).

I found it in a fresh install of 8.04.3 desktop on a VMWare 2.0 virtual machine, with vmware-tools installed (manually from the *.tgz). My previous 8.04.1 (updated daily) (installed on physical HW) did not show this behavior when same qtsdk-2009.02 was first installed.

Thanks for your report.

I'm unable to reproduce it on a fresh hardy setup (8.04.4). I'm closing this report because it was reported a while ago without activity, no duplicates have been reported and it is not reproducible and you've been able to easily work around.

Thanks and don't hesitate to submit any new bug you may find.
