Bug Description

using firefox 3.5.3 and epiphany browser in ubuntu 9.04 (64) gives to me problems in opening some ftp servers :

ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24_TNG/
ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/
ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/driver/

etc

on the contrary other server are opened without problems
ftp://ftp.sunet.se/

Opera opens everything without pbs.

The problem exists also if I rename .mozilla and create a new one.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. It would appear that you might have had some issues on your network. I would suggest trying again as these sites seem fine now. Please report any other issues you may have.

I repeated now the test ;

the first address appeared regularly for a very short time, then all of those address do no appear anymore in firefox, the connection stops with an error.

I'm frankly not convinced about network problems because Opera opens everything perfectly and immediately with no error at any moment - if a network problem existed, Opera would show same problem, at least from time to time.

I installed and tested chromium and Konqueror, and they show the same problem as firefox.

In this moment I can't get working even the
ftp://ftp.sunet.se/
server in firefox and chromium (it works with epiphany..)
