Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

Ubuntu xvid codec version 1.1.2 (2007) must be updated to 1.2.2 (2009) , the package is libxvidcore4 and i found it in debiand unstable packages and i installed correctly in my system, but i can't make it works with avidemux multi threads option.

Avidemux use a plugin to manage the codec, so i don't kwon if is avidemux bug in the linux version and xvid (1.2.2) muti threads

The codec x264 works very well in multi thread mode in avidemux and use de 100% of cpu (2 cores)

The avidemux windows version work very well with xvid multi thread

Well i think that bug may be related to the xvid outdated version codec.

I use ubuntu 9.10 64bit beta + updates
