Bug Description

Binary package hint: hal

Problem occurs with: Ubuntu Karmic, all updates installed
Does not occur with: Ubuntu 9.04

1. Connect an iPod nano 1st-generation.

What happens: Nautilus opens a window showing the files and folders on the iPod.
What should happen: A window opens with options to launch Rhythmbox, launch Banshee, open the folder, eject, or do nothing.

podsleuth reports:
------------
Found an iPod device, but it is not known by PodSleuth:
   Error: org.podsleuth.* properties are missing

Cause: PodSleuth may not be installed properly, the HAL daemon may need

------------

This is different from bug 357399 in that the iPod does show up as a USB device, it just isn't recognized as an iPod. And it's different from bug 450465 in that podsleuth does recognize the iPod.
