gnome-session crashed with SIGSEGV in SmsDie()

It occurs when i first start my ACER Aspire 4520, a few things crash, but the default background comes up. it stops there, the mouse is disabled but if i hit the power button I'm prompted to shut down/restart/hibernate etc. When i hit restart it actually brings up everything properly without powering down the computer.
