Karmic-Recovery Menu-File System Check. Does nothing.

Bug Description
When selecting "File System Check" from the "Recovery Menu", nothing happens. The display scrolls up a bit for about 0.5 second and then returns to it's original position - nothing else happens, no fsck, no lines of "++++", no "xx%". Nothing. All I see is a flash of "Mount is busy" text, then it returns to the Menu.
