Bug Description
At GDM I wanted to switch to tty, so CTRL+ALT+F1, got a corrupted and unusable screen. I can switch back to the GDM screen and continue with logon, and again after logon switching to tty1 gives same corruption. Photo to follow.

I also get this with the 190 driver from a ppa, on an ION based device when I shut down GDM to stop the box locking up :(
