PDT version is missing

Binary package hint: eclipse

There are many eclipse-* package available but not eclipse-pdt. Ubuntu eclipse package should reflect official Eclipse version (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/)

Ubuntu is really missing Eclipse PDT, please note:
- it is the _most popular eclipse project_
- the stock Eclipse from eclipse.org not usable on karmic: it does not allow click on dialog boxes buttons
- PDT as plugin is not installable on Karmic because of Bug 438414

This bug is not a duplicate of Bug 163739.

Cdt and pdt are different. Eclipse-pdt is not "non functional" or incompatible with eclipse 3.5, it just does not exist in repos witch is a shame as it is the more popular Eclipse project!

My bad, I misread it as cdt.

Anyhow, I just tested my local build and I believe Bug 438414 is closed in our repository and will be uploaded before the deadline Thursday. I am not sure if we will have time make a pdt package before then, so you probably have to get it from the updates for now.

This is more correctly a duplicate of the older packaging request as this package is not in Debian or Ubuntu at present.
