No sound over HDMI

Asus P5B-v motherboard with a common HD audio: AD1988 8-chanels.
S/PDIF connector is properly connected to the HDMI interface. I've managed to get audio using ALSA before previous karmic update, but Now it's gone. No info about HDMI or S/PDIF output on sound control.

Is this symptom reproducible when booted from the most current daily-live desktop Lucid image?

Support for audio over HDMI on Intel hardware has arrived upstream in kernel 2.6.37-rc1. A PPA of this kernel can be found at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/
